Our nation has never been more in need of embracing equality as mutual respect, for preserving our health, and for getting along better as global citizens.

The Goal of 12 Habits 4 All of Us is: One world together, integrating rather than alienating us from one another by instilling the practice of 12 caring habits…shared in real time - person by person, month by month, year after year.

NOTE: In our new photo logo - the flag represents our country and the rainbow represents all of us.  We can’t have a strong proud country without a unified body of citizens who work together to make us great, each and every day.

Our Great American NEED

America desperately needs more unity and equality as the basis for building a better society that serves “of, for, and by the people,” with dignity and respect for all.  To this end, we need to do our part to get along better as equalized citizens who are both responsible and free.

Together, we can do it! Hope for the future comes from focusing more on the strengths of what we, as citizens, have in common as the best way to resolve our differences and find common ground in compromises.

The Mission of 12 Habits 4 All of Us is: To better UNIFY AMERICA by inspiring integration rather than alienation from one another.  How? -  by broadcasting throughout multi-media - the practice of 12 non-controversial and unifying habits…shared in real time - person by person, month by month, year after year. These are simple family values, like “Be Grateful,” or “Resolve Conflicts,” or “Be Patient & Listen.”

12 Habits 4 All of Us, then, is a perpetual year-round color-coded monthly message plan that reminds us all to be our best selves.  The habit-message for October is "Be Patient."  October's unique color is "Slow-Down Lavender.”

For 30 years, in many mid-west USA communities, reaching hundreds of thousands of families, workers and school students, these 12 habits have inspired the best in people through evidence-based studies.  One 6th grader on our 2017 survey reports, "I am now nice to the people I used to be mean to.  I might even get better grades too."

Through our non-profit, All of Us Inc., we form a community-wide and social media network of adults, supporting children, youth, and families.  "On the ground" in a participant community, “Ambassadors,” all together, display the same color-coded reminder posters.  Go to the menu Resources where you or your group, as local "12 Habits 4 All of Us" Ambassadors, can download camera ready artwork for printing the 12 monthly reminder materials locally.

Ambassadors may include businesses and merchants, schools and after-schools, social agencies and media. Together, we strengthen and reinforce one another each month because everyone is sharing the same colorful habit reminder message at the same time.

Just like we share and are uplifted by "Holidays", the 12 Habits 4 All of Us consistent plan enables better collaboration, and uplifts shared attitudes, while motivating unity, hope and positive engagement by all…one month at a time.

Our Story: Spreading Goodwill for 30 Years

This award-winning "getting along better" campaign all began when an abused little girl, grew up, fervently wanting to inspire everyone to respect and treat each other better.

After spending 25 years as a corporate marketing executive and earning her MBA, she applied her skills to design a 12-month "branded" habit forming model to inspire compassion, civility and self-empowerment.   It was first prototyped in the 1990'a in Somerset PA. There, in 1993, it was designated a "Social Invention" by the London Institute for Social Inventions.  From there it grew throughout western Pennsylvania to reach 200,000+ students in 150+ communities, schools and after-school programs, until the 2008 recession when founder, Elaine Parke, moved to West Virginia.

Efficacy research studies include; Highmark Blue Cross of PA, (2002), (the first of many funders), the University of Pittsburgh Department of Public Health (2006), The Pennsylvania State Board of Education (2007), The Pennsylvania Department of Public Health (2009), Pennsylvania State University at Behrends-Erie (2013), The University of Pennsylvania at Indiana Campus (1994)   and Alfred University (2005).

Successful research can be summed up with a direct quote from one 2005 student survey that read, "I am now nice to the people I used to be mean to and I might even do better in school."

In late 2006, Founder and Executive Director, Elaine Parke, sponsored by Rotary International, traveled to Rwanda to train school headmasters as facilitators of a 12 habits student peace promotion.  She was awarded a commendation by the Republic of Rwanda and a Paul Harris fellowship by Rotary International. The 12 Habits of Rwanda began growing in schools and organizations in Rwanda.

In Morgan County WV, the non-profit All of Us, Inc., received funds from the WV Education Alliance, The WV Coalition for Healthy Children and Families, and from a Private Trust.  In the first year in Morgan County, 12 Habits 4 All of Us, paid two part-time staffers, attracted $133, 263.00 of contributed volunteer hours and paid $11,665 for supplies and materials reaching 17,000 county residents.

Annually, more than 50,000 printed pieces including posters, flyers, table tents, bookmarks, etc., were distributed to 550 students and community sites of 50+ Community Ambassadors. These included schools, merchants, restaurants, helping agencies, the Boys & Girls Clubs, and Head Start.

The multi-media component includes monthly themed articles in area newspapers, on radio, and is also networked on major social media, including YouTube for our popular STEM video-training project known as the "Kids Talk Show."

For individuals, author Parke published "The Universal Golden Rule Revolution," a daily motivational book that inspires the 12 Habits of happiness through celebrating our human capacity to get along better with one another.  The book is available through smile.amazon.com (select to DONATE to All of Us, Inc.) or by calling our office at 814-779-2060 or emailing elaine_parke@yahoo.com
